Prior to founding Christie Consultants, Brian spent a majority of his 9 plus years in commercial real estate with Deloitte’s real estate valuation group. Brian has led and performed acquisition & disposition financial due diligence projects for numerous office, retail, industrial flex, multi-family and student housing portfolios that included detailed analysis of ARGUS cash flow models, lease abstractions and ancillary financial analysis that often resulted in purchase price adjustments in clients’ favor. Engagements include several multi-billion dollar REIT acquisitions, including working directly with Blackstone’s acquisition team on its $39B acquisition and subsequent disposition of the EOP portfolio.

Brian’s work with commercial real estate owners and operators also includes building and updating Excel, ARGUS Valuation-DCF™ and DYNA™ cash flow models for mixed-use, office and retail portfolios, expense recovery reviews, large-scale lease abstraction projects, and FAS 141 market valuation analysis. Brian has also managed and negotiated tenant lease audit inspections for several Fortune 500 clients, as well as taught full-day lease audit courses offered to corporate real estate executives and professionals of both tenant and landlord entities.

Brian is a Certified Public Accountant in the state of Colorado and received his B.B.A and Masters of Accountancy from the University of Iowa.

Our Team

Our team consists of prior Big Four accounting firm professionals and national real estate ownership and service provider professionals all with seven to twenty years’ experience in real estate valuation, acquisitions, asset management, property management and property tax consulting. Our experience covers all asset types, including office, retail, industrial, multi-family, mixed-use and student housing. Our experience includes acquisitions and asset management support for some of the largest commercial real estate transactions in US history and some of the most well respected public and private ownership entities.
